Trump signed an executive order on January 20 titled “Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats.”

The order mandates that within 60 days, the Secretary of State, Attorney General, Secretary of Homeland Security, and Director of National Intelligence must submit a report to the President. This report must:

1. Identify countries with insufficient vetting and screening measures.
2. List the number of nationals from these countries who have entered the U.S. since January 20, 2021.
3. Provide relevant details on their activities.

The 22 nations given a 60-day deadline must now comply with U.S. security requests. If they fail to meet the requirements, they may face further restrictions.

The travel ban list was drafted several weeks ago, and changes are possible before it reaches the White House.

While, the final decision could impact millions of travelers worldwide.

Trump’s proposed travel restrictions are part of his broader immigration policies.

If implemented, they could significantly affect international travel. Many countries are now racing against time to comply with U.S. demands to avoid a complete travel ban.
