The Titan sub exploded on June 18, 2023, causing dead of five passengers

On June 18, 2023, the Titan submersible embarked on a mission to explore the wreck of the Titanic, located off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

Aboard the vessel were OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet.

The group also included two members of the Dawood family: Shahzada and his son Suleman.

The submersible was equipped with a 96-hour oxygen supply, allowing for an extensive exploration.

However, about one hour and 45 minutes into its descent, the Titan lost contact with its support vessel, the Polar Prince.

After the submersible failed to resurface, a large-scale search operation was launched by the US Coast Guard.

Officials conducted a hearing to investigate the Titan disaster.

As they released the footage, they began a hearing to investigate the events leading to the Titan’s implosion.

The US Coast Guard is leading this hearing, which they expect to last two weeks.

The aim is to determine whether any negligence contributed to the tragedy.

So far, the investigation has identified 24 witnesses, including former OceanGate employees.

David Lochridge, a former director of operations, has raised concerns about safety issues he encountered during his time with the company.

Lochridge says that he often faced dismissal when he raised concerns about the Titan’s safety features.

His testimony may play a crucial role in the ongoing investigation.

Many people have taken to social media to express their feelings about the tragedy.

Comments range from shock and sadness to anger directed at those involved in the Titan’s design and operation.

After every incident there are stories and interpretations. The mind get confused, what to believe and what not to believe, one user said.

A heartbreaking scene, the second user said.

I feel for these rich people, but titanic should just be left alone and left to rest in peace, the third user said.

That’s a lot of large debris for an implosion is it not? Especially since at the time they said there was nothing to find.

I can’t understand why it took so long to find this, it’s quite large, another asked.
