After the delivery, Barbosa reportedly traveled by long-distance coach to Santa Ines, located approximately 200 miles away.

Previous attempts to Poison Lira’s Family
Authorities have claimed that Barbosa had attempted similar acts in the past.
Reports suggest she had previously offered chocolate tasters to employees at Lira’s workplace, but was turned away. She later headed to the parking lot, where she allegedly distributed the poisoned treats.
