Doctors were shocked when a woman was hospitalized with a gastrointestinal infection after her daughter's dog accidentally pooped on her face while she slept.

Amanda Gommo, 51, was hospitalized for three days after her chihuahua Belle pooped on her face, including her mouth.
A peculiar incident occurred in Bristol involving Gomo. She recalled that, while holding her dog for a nap, the dog accidentally experienced severe diarrhea, resulting in some feces falling into her mouth
Ms. Gommo immediately ran into the bathroom to clean up the dog's feces in her mouth but was later taken to the hospital after falling ill with a gastrointestinal infection transmitted by Belle.
She said: 'It was disgusting, and I was hurling violently for hours after - I just couldn't get the taste out of my mouth.'
Speaking of the ordeal, she said: 'I rushed to the bathroom and my son was in the shower, so before I washed it out I had time to take a quick snap!
Bell was also later diagnosed with an upset stomach.
After pooping in Gommo's mouth, Belle was taken to the vet, where she was diagnosed with an "upset stomach" and then given antibiotics.
Later that day, Ms. Gomo developed severe stomach cramps. Gormum writhes with convulsions all over her stomach. Gommo's symptoms are said to be similar to Belle's.
Gommo's mother then called 999, who sent another ambulance to take her to Bristol Royal Infirmary. There, doctors had diagnosed days earlier that she had a gastrointestinal infection that spread through Bell's feces and into her mouth, something they had never seen before.
Then give Gommo an infusion. She was instructed to drink plenty of fluids to eliminate the risk of a potential infection.
She was monitored for three days while they rehydrated her with electrolytes and glucose, which she gradually lost.
Both Ms. Gommo and Belle recovered.
Ms Gommo said doctors were shocked as they had never encountered such a strange situation before. Her discharge revealed that she had a gastrointestinal infection caused by a dog defecating in her mouth.
Fortunately, both Mrs. Gormo and Bell recovered. Belle's mistake was also forgiven, and Gommo and I also said that from now on, she must pay attention to her sleeping position.
She said: 'I've been drinking two Lucozades a day, plenty of tea and loads of water since it happened, and I'm happy to say both me and Belle are on the mend.
'I've forgiven Belle for her little accident and I still love her with all my heart, but I will definitely be more mindful of what position we sleep in in the future!'
