Maggie spoke out about her shortest first date ever, which went viral on social media

Maggie, from the Auburn area of Alabama, insists she hasn’t given up on love. However, she has ditched dating apps to focus on herself. “He knew what I looked like from the app,” she explained. “My dating profiles show me from all angles, no filters.”

The night before, the man had praised her personality, intelligence, and beauty. “So, my weight wasn’t a factor,” Maggie noted.

When Maggie woke up the next morning, her phone was flooded with notifications. “Overwhelmingly, the reactions I got were positive,” she shared. Initially terrified of the internet’s reaction, she eventually read the comments.

“There were a lot of comments of people sharing their own experiences, which was encouraging,” she added.

However, not all responses were kind. Some accused her of catfishing, prompting Maggie to post her dating profile. “I have always been very honest about what I look like, so I didn’t catfish him,” she asserted.

However, Maggie expressed gratitude for the support she’s received. “It’s been incredible to get messages from people who feel seen because they have similar stories,” she said. “I never expected this, but if it helps people feel less alone, that’s the best outcome I could hope for.”
