The couple has a 61-year age difference
Miracle Pogue, 24, from Starkville, Mississippi, had a romantic relationship with her husband, who is 85 years older than her grandfather, Charles Pogue.
Miracle is currently a nurse and Charles is a retired real estate agent.
The two first met in a launderette in 2019 and the pair quickly formed a friendship. After being friends for a while, Charles proposed to his young girlfriend in February 2020.
Miracle recounts the first impression of her 85-year-old husband.
"Regularly, Charles brings a set of clothes and requests that I act as his waiter."
The 24-year-old girl also revealed that Charles placed a piece of paper in front of her and asked for her phone number.
"He's like my knight in bright armor."
Miracle admits that they have great vibes and synchronization. Charles always makes her feel comfortable when talking.
She said she has never cared about her husband's age, even though he is 85 years old, "Charles has always been very active and youthful."
The couple's difficulties before getting married
Although the couple came together very smoothly, they still encountered many difficulties in persuading their family.
Miracle shared that her mother and other family members supported her decision except her father.
She and her father had a falling out when she mentioned that she wanted to start a family with Charles.
However, her father never agreed to this relationship until Miracle asked: "Do you want to lose your daughter forever?"
Although he agreed with his daughter's love story, he was still determined not to attend his daughter's wedding at first.
