Atifa Ljajic, who lives in Novi Pazar in western Serbia's Raska District, had always wanted to have a child. She was overjoyed when she discovered she was pregnant, despite the challenges that come with her age.
However, upon hearing their newborn daughter's cries in the maternity ward, Atifa's husband, Serif Nokic, made a shocking decision.
Why did the husband dump Atifa as soon as she gave birth?
He declared that he was too old to endure the sleepless nights caused by a crying baby and decided to leave his wife on the very same day their precious child arrived.
Serif, who is 68 years old, explained his decision by saying that having a baby at his age would harm his health.
He mentioned his diabetes and weak heart as reasons for leaving, without considering how this would affect Atifa emotionally.
