The bartender warns customers that they will be judged for ordering double vodka with tap water.

Recently on social media, bartenders are taking a stand against certain drink orders, and now vodka mixed with tap water has found its place on the list of disliked concoctions.

A new trend on TikTok has witnessed bartenders candidly discussing the drinks they quietly disapprove of when customers order them. Their reasons seem to make sense.

One American bartender used the video-sharing platform to demonstrate how to make a Long Island iced tea; however, in the process, she admitted she thinks it's 'insane' that they drink high alcohol in it.

In her video, she said: "When you come up to the bar and you order a Long Island [iced tea], the first thing I'm thinking is, 'Is everything ok? Like, is everything going on alright in your life 'cos why on earth would you want four different liquors in your drink?'"

"You are getting rum, vodka, tequila, and gin all mixed in one. That's just insane."

Now, another bartender has offered their perspective on the debated combination of vodka and tap water.

"I still remember my days working behind the bar when someone ordered this, and I was genuinely surprised that someone would actually want to combine these two things. Come on, folks... a splash of lemonade isn't that costly," the bartender stated in a video shared by the Portsmouth nightclub PRYZM.

The voiceover in the video playfully remarks, "I'm not judging you, but just so you know, everyone else will."

The caption for the video read: "No offense if you drink this, but just NO."

Several others in the industry have also shared their experiences with unusual drink requests they've encountered.

One person said: When someone ordered a double whatever with water, I thought, “Nice. Easy and quick” Who really cares what people drink? Seriously.

A second wrote: As bar staff. I don’t care what you order as long as you pay for it. Working with rugby players I’ve seen all sorts of weird & wonderful requests. I hate making tea & coffee but if that’s requested then I smile and get on with it.

A third said: I’ll be honest, I was a bartender for years and I never judged anyone's drink, what a weird thing to do you don’t have to drink it and they’re paying good money for it, mind your business.

Someone else said: How about just doing your job and pouring the drink as you were asked? Thanks for the warning though, champs! You did the right thing by coming to us. We'll try our best to avoid your needless obsessing over our drinks!
