Bill Gates has left people shocked with his far-off guesses about grocery store prices.

Bill Gates, the famous billionaire and tech mogul, recently made headlines when he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and was quizzed about grocery store prices.

However, his answers surprised and confused everyone, revealing the difference between Gates' rich lifestyle and ordinary shoppers.

As reported by Forbes, Bill Gates currently has a net worth of $129.1B, placing him in the seventh position on the list of "The Richest People In The World."

During this episode, Gates was presented with many common grocery store items and had to guess their prices accurately.

The rules for this challenge were simple.

If Bill Gates' guess was within a dollar of the actual price, it would count as correct. And if he managed to guess at least three out of five prices accurately, the audience would receive a significant reward.

To the surprise of the audience, Gates's guesses were far off.

For instance, when asked about the price of Rice-A-Roni, he guessed a staggering $5, while the actual price was only $1.

Similarly, his guess for Tide Pods was $10, while the actual price was $19.97. Even when he seemed to regain his confidence, Gates's guesses continued to miss the mark.

For dental floss, he estimated $4, but the correct answer was $3.78.

Additionally, the audience was also startled when Gates suggested that a bag of Totino's Pizza Rolls cost up to $22, and despite being prompted to lower his estimate, he finally settled on $8.9

The actual price of a bag of Totino's Pizza Rolls was actually $8.

The final item that left everyone shocked was T.G.I Friday's Spinach and Artichoke Dip.

At first, Gates asked the audience if they thought it would be less than $10, and based on their response, he guessed it was $4.

However, the actual price was $3.66.

Even though Gates made incorrect guesses, it was clear that his wealth and way of life had separated him from the everyday prices of groceries.

On social media, many users defended Gates, admitting they also didn't give any right answers.

I’m not wealthy and my husband has no idea either. This isn’t surprising, one user said.

And the the regular everyday husband, wife, partner, person who doesn't do the shopping wouldnt have a clue either. Why are we always finding something to be enraged at, the second said.

I didn't get any of them right, so I guess I must be a billionaire, joked one person.

Come on! Most wealthy people do not buy their own groceries. That's common knowledge, another wrote.

I do my own shopping and I dont even know the price, someone admitted
