After eating a slice of cheese on his Big Mac, he experienced allergic reactions and subsequent hospitalization.

Even nearly three years after the distressing incident, Olsen remains reluctant to eat out at most restaurants. Recounting the events of that fateful evening, he shared that he had placed his usual "No Cheese" request through DoorDash, assuming it would be handled as it had been on numerous occasions.

Upon receiving his meal, the burger appeared outwardly consistent with previous orders, without any visible melted cheese.

However, his condition rapidly deteriorated after taking a bite. "When I felt my throat close up and it became difficult to breathe, I actually thought I might not make it," Olsen confessed.

Olsen and his girlfriend, Alexandra DiBenedetto, faced worsening symptoms and urgently sought medical attention.

The couple was taken to the hospital with concerning symptoms.

Olsen was surrounded by a team of medical professionals who administered epinephrine, Benadryl, and steroids. Fortunately, the medication took effect before intubation became necessary.

The implicated McDonald's location, situated at 355 8th Ave., has since closed, according to Olsen's legal representatives. While McDonald's declined to comment on the lawsuit, they provided a statement from the franchise owner, who expressed a serious commitment to reviewing the claims.

According to The Post, Olsen's girlfriend, Alexandra DiBenedetto, said that they experienced a terrible ordeal after eating McDonald's food.

“Having to watch him struggle the way he did was absolutely awful, and it just kept getting scarier as the reaction progressed,” she said.

She added. “I was awake all night terrified just watching him making sure everything was okay.”
