In an interview with Variety's 'Know Their Lines' series, Bloom candidly admitted that he has intentionally deleted memories of his participation in Troy.

The historical war film, loosely based on Homer's 'Iliad,' depicts the legendary battle between the ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta.

Despite featuring an exceptional ensemble cast, including Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, and Peter O'Toole, Bloom expressed his reluctance to remember about his character's role in the film.

Reflecting on his experience, Bloom confessed, "Playing that character was just like slits throat. Am I allowed to say all of these things? I didn't want to do the movie. I didn't want to play this character."

He further explained that the role went against his personal instincts and emotions, making it a challenging effort for him.

Bloom recalled one particular scene in which his character, Paris, crawls along the floor after being defeated and clings to his brother's leg.

He admitted that he initially believed he couldn't convincingly portray such a moment.

However, influenced by the persuasive words of one of his agents, he reluctantly agreed to take on the role, later regretting that decision.

Although Bloom had concerns, the movie Troy achieved significant financial success, earning almost $500 million globally.

However, it received mixed feedback from critics, with a moderate 53 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Oh my God, Troy. Wow. I think I just blanked that movie out of my brain by the way

"So many people love that movie, but for me playing that character was just like [slits throat]. Am I allowed to say all of these things? I didn’t want to do the movie. I didn’t want to play this character," he said.

The actor's revelation attracted the attention of viewers on social media.

It's one of my favorite movies. They were all great there. It's just the character he played that was the culprit of the chaos. But it's exactly made the whole film. But I think he played best as Legolas and in Kingdom of heaven, one user said.

Funnily enough, Brad Pitt also regrets his role in Troy. This is ironic for me personally, because it’s one of my favorite movies and I’ve always felt like they did some of their best work in it, the second user commented.

I love Troy..his character was such a wuss though, the third user said.

What. That was a good flick. Someone had to play Paris, might as well be a good actor, another said.
