In an unexpected turn of events, a Yankees supporter was seen grabbing Betts’ glove. The Dodgers player had leaped at the wall to catch a ball heading his way. As he made the catch, the fan opened Betts’ glove and snatched the baseball.

The drama unfolded in what many consider one of the craziest moments in World Series history. Betts, clearly shocked by the fan’s actions, addressed the media after the game.

“When it comes to the person in play, it doesn’t matter,” Betts said. “We lost. It’s irrelevant. I’m fine. He’s fine. Everything’s cool. We lost the game, and that’s what I’m focused on. We got to turn the page and get ready for tomorrow.”

In the comments section, many viewers expressed their shock about the incident. Another user expressed their disappointment bout fan behavior at sporting events.

One person said: Correction. He did steal the ball out of his glove! And the friend holding the wrist….both should be banned from MLB games!!

A second wrote: Is he actually mentally unstable, no one would do this if he was stable, I’m glad he got kicked out and the other guy too

Another added: That was horrible. I don’t care who the team is or the player. That was so wrong. I can’t believe people are laughing about it.

Someone else said: I look just like this opening a bag of chips at 3am after a night out. When you want it, you’re going to get it.

ESPN journalist Kevin Negandhi commented, “The fact that these two Yankee fans acted like they didn’t do anything wrong… one held Mookie’s glove, and the other grabbed Mookie’s hand and wouldn’t let go. If this was done in Philly, social media would’ve melted down.”
