The conflict between the homeowner and the builders reached its peak when they decided to smash up the homeowner's entire driveway because he did not pay the remaining amount for their work.

In a recent incident in Australia, the tension between builders and a homeowner reached a boiling point when the homeowners refused to pay the remaining amount for the builders' work.

Frustrated by the unpaid bill, the builders took an extreme measure, smashing up the driveway they had installed for the homeowner.

Builders destroyed the homeowner's driveway as he did not pay the rest amount for their work

According to reports, Hallett and Sommerville, operating under the business name Clare Concreting, claimed that the homeowner had only paid $10,000 of the $13,500 bill and refused to settle the rest.

In a series of Instagram videos, the scene unfolded as police arrived at the location, urging the builders to reconsider their actions and engage in a dialogue with the homeowner.

The tension escalated as the homeowner approached the builders, attempting to reason with them.

Hallett, clearly furious, announced his plan to destroy the driveway, expressing his indifference towards leaving it intact because of the $3,500 owed by the homeowner.

He firmly stated that if the payment wasn't made, he would continue with bulldozing the driveway.

Despite the homeowner's pleas to halt the destruction, Hallett remained his intention.

Police solved the conflict by asking the homeowner to pay the rest amount to the builders

Eventually, the police intervened in an attempt to resolve the situation.

They inquired about the amount owed, and Hallett confirmed it to be $3,500.

The officer asked the homeowner to pay the rest amount to the builders before everything got worse.

Subsequently, the homeowner fulfilled the payment, and Hallett later expressed gratitude to the police for their assistance, stating that they had been paid in full.

However, the homeowner strongly disagreed with the sequence of events that led to the destruction of the driveway.

The owner revealed the reason why they refused to pay the rest amount for the builder

He argued that he had already given $30,000 for the project, but he contended that the builders had not fulfilled their obligations, such as leveling the ground, constructing a retaining wall, and completing plumbing work as agreed upon.

To support his claims, the homeowner shared text messages as evidence of his dissatisfaction with the incomplete tasks and the disputed amount to be paid.

Since the incident gained widespread attention, the homeowner has faced additional challenges, including racist abuse online and individuals visiting his property to witness the damage firsthand.

He expressed fear and concern for the safety of his children, as strangers began showing up at their home.

Clare Concreting, on their part, offered to repair the driveway and complete the remaining tasks, but the homeowner declined the offer and sought legal advice.
