A KFC customer from Townsville, Australia, has sparked outrage online after sharing images of a raw chicken meal she claims to have received from the fast food chain.
The incident, which occurred at the Annandale outlet last Friday, has drawn significant attention on social media.
Customer claims complaint was ignored for days
The woman discovered her chicken was raw shortly after purchasing it. She immediately contacted the store to report the issue.
“The girl on the phone seemed interested and asked me to email photos through,” the woman wrote in her post. “They said they would call back, but no response yet.”
Frustrated by the lack of action, the woman took to Facebook to share pictures of her undercooked meal.

KFC responds to the incident
In response to the viral post, a KFC spokesperson apologized and assured the public that food safety is a top priority.
‘We’re very sorry to hear about this as it doesn’t meet our very high standards of food safety and we have been in touch with the customer to offer a full refund,’ the spokesperson said.
‘We’re also currently in the process of undertaking a full review of the incident to understand what has happened.’
KFC also confirmed that a full review of the incident is underway to determine what went wrong.
