A Russian hunter, Sergey Grigoriyev, was killed by the brown bear he had rescued as a cub and kept as a pet in a garden cage.
According to reports, Sergey Grigoriyev rescued the bear, named Vorchun or Grumbler, along with another cub four years prior. Mr. Sergey raised the bear cub on his suburban property.
However, in a tragic incident, Grigoriyev was killed by the same bear.
The incident occurred when his family reported to the police that he was missing and the bear was on the loose.
Upon receiving the report, the police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.
On Grigoriyev's property, the police discovered his skeletal remains. Authorities in Ozersk claimed that Grigoriyev was killed and eaten by a bear he had raised.
Police claimed in a statement, 'Officers used their service weapons to kill the dangerous animal.'
They added: 'On the plot, we found the skeletal remains of a man.'
'As a result of the measures taken, the bear does not pose a threat to citizens' lives and health any longer.'
The aggressive bear not only escaped its cage but also killed two of Grigoriyev's three dogs.
The aggressive bear was then fatally shot by the police in Ozersk, Chelyabinsk region, to protect the safety of residents.
A neighbor of Mr. Grigoriyev said, 'We called him, but he did not answer. When his relatives came, they saw a bear wandering around the plot.'
Disregarding warnings from friends about the bear's aggressive tendencies, Grigoriyev chose to retain the animal, despite prior incidents of attacks on the owner.
This heartbreaking story serves as a warning for people who want to keep wild animals as pets.
