This trend which popularized over the past year involves using natural pigmented creams or henna dye to create clusters of 'freckles' on the T-zone area of the face.

The idea is for these freckles to gradually fade into a more natural appearance.

However, Elle did a version of the freckles trend that was too extreme, and people compared it to skin conditions like vitiligo.

Even though Elle already had natural freckles, they weren't as noticeable. She got more than 4,900 negative comments, with many people feeling offended.

They think this trend doesn't respect or understand the experiences of people with real freckles.

One person was surprised and said they would never understand why people do this. They mentioned spending their whole life trying to hide their freckles.

Another person advised Elle, asking why she would do it since it doesn't look realistic and is gimmicky. They emphasized that she doesn't need it and should be confident with her skin.

Similarly, a woman decided to get fake freckles tattooed on her face, but there are concerns that they will age poorly, similar to a tramp stamp tattoo.

The woman, named Siljie, visited a tattoo artist named Daisy, who showcased the process on TikTok.

Daisy used Siljie's natural freckles as a guide and created dense, full-coverage freckles.

Before starting the tattooing process, Daisy always presented a mapping to her clients to ensure their satisfaction and allowed them to choose the desired locations for the freckles.
