Over two years, his total earnings exceeded €1 million. However, the casino soon realized what was happening and banned him. A legal battle ensued, lasting 10 years.

Ultimately, the court ruled that García-Pelayo hadn’t cheated, and the casino was forced to allow him back. However, he chose not to return, as he was already too well-known.
