On social media, many viewers stunned after a man who most-liked man on Hinge explains why he want any of the women.
He gets thousands of likes but no dates
Alex Puxley, 32, claims to be the most-liked man on Hinge. Despite this, he has yet to go on a single date.
Since joining the app in January 2024, Alex has received over 3,000 likes. He gets up to 40 new matches daily and has connected with more than 1,500 women.
But even with these impressive numbers, he remains single. According to Alex, most women seem more interested in his wallet than in him.
Alex explained why he doesn’t want any of the women
Alex insists he isn’t picky. He just wants someone who genuinely cares about him.
‘I wish someone would pop up that wants to date me for the right reasons’. Alex said.
‘I feel they approach for a one night stand or just the wrong reasons in general – to be taken out for meals etc all paid for via myself.
‘I’ve had a few matches ask how much money I earn each year which is a strange way to start a conversation!
Additionally, he has even had matches ask him outright how much he earns.
“It’s a strange way to start a conversation,” he said. “I’d love to meet someone normal who isn’t materialistic.”
His dog might be the real star
Alex also believes his popularity comes from his photos with his Cockapoo, Raffy.
“I think Raffy’s the real reason I get so many matches,” he joked.
But he also feels many people on dating apps aren’t looking for real relationships.
“They ask about money and cars instead of getting to know me,” he said. “I just want a real relationship and a family.”
Is he really the most-liked man on Hinge?
Alex doesn’t have official confirmation, but he thinks his numbers speak for themselves.
“I’ve compared my matches to my friends, and none of them have anywhere near as many as me,” he said.
His friends are in disbelief. “They just laugh at how many likes I get.”
Alex has had 10 past relationships, including one that lasted three years. Now, he knows what he wants.
He prefers women shorter than him, likes redheads, and appreciates people who are passionate about their jobs.
He’s also been put off by some strange conversations on Hinge.
One woman told him, “I’ve always wanted a hunk like you as a stepdad.” Another asked what he would do if she farted on a first date.
He also dislikes feeling like he’s in a job interview.
“They ask about my car, salary, and other things that shouldn’t matter,” he said.
Searching for love in a numbers game
Alex admits he has tried some questionable chat-up lines, which may not have helped his situation.
When he told a woman, “Are you a parking ticket? Because you have ‘fine’ written all over you,” the conversation ended.
Another time, he joked, “They say dating is a numbers game, so can I get yours?” That match also stopped responding.
Despite his struggles, Alex remains hopeful. He continues to search for someone who values connection over material things.
Until then, he and Raffy will keep swiping.
