Mike Tyson once offered $10,000 to be allowed to fight a silverback gorilla.

Mike Tyson, the former champion, surprised everyone by admitting that he had once wanted to engage in a fight with a large gorilla at a zoo in New York.

In a resurfaced interview, Tyson revealed that he even paid a zoo worker $10,000 to reopen the gorilla's cage for him.

He expressed his desire to confront the silverback gorilla and was willing to enter the cage to "teach it a lesson." However, the wise zookeeper declined his offer in order to ensure the safety of both Tyson and the gorilla.

Despite his desire to confront the "evil" gorilla, Tyson has consistently shown a genuine love for animals.
