Another athlete has been kicked out of the Paris Olympics. This time, Olympic swimmer Luana Alonso has been removed from the village amid allegations of ‘inappropriate behavior.

Luana Alonso, renowned for her glamour and competitive spirit, faced a challenging time at the Games.
She finished sixth in the 100m butterfly, narrowly missing out on the semi-finals.Alonso announced her retirement from swimming on social media. She has nearly 500,000 followers on the platform.
Despite her retirement, she remained in Paris.
However, as the Olympics approached its final week, the Paraguayan team decided to remove the 20-year-old swimmer from the athletes’ village.
They cited Alonso’s ‘inappropriate behavior’ as the reason for her removal. No specific details about the behavior were provided.

Larissa Schaerer, head of the COP mission, commented, “Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay. We thank her for proceeding as instructed and respecting the decision to leave the Athletes’ Village.”

Alonso’s social media activity indicates that she has returned to the United States, where she is attending school. She posted a video showing her driving towards a border control crossing.
Alonso previously competed in the Tokyo Olympics four years ago and is among the youngest athletes to retire at the age of 20. Additionally, she suddenly declared her retirement from the sport on social media to her 500,000 Instagram followers.
She wrote: “Swimming: thank you for allowing me to dream, you taught me to fight, to try, perseverance, sacrifice, discipline and many more.
“I gave you part of my life and I don’t change it for anything in the world because I lived the best experiences of my life, you gave me thousands of joys, friends from other countries that I will always carry them in my heart, unique opportunities.
“It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon,” she concluded.
