A recent TikTok video posted by a conspiracy theorist has ignited a heated debate regarding the existence of dinosaurs and the scarcity of their fossilized remains.
Viewers are questioning why dinosaur bones are not more popular if these ancient creatures truly roamed the Earth.
The TikToker, who has since deleted her account, raised an intriguing point that has left many thinking.
She questioned why the average person has never stumbled upon dinosaur bones in their everyday lives.
Furthermore, she expressed skepticism about the discovery of intact fossils with teeth still attached, considering the supposed decay rate of bones over millions of years.
But why would someone invent the concept of dinosaurs?
The conspiracy theorist suggests that it could be because our ancestors have always mentioned the Nephilim.
The Nephilim are portrayed as giants and are described in the Hebrew Bible.
The theorist goes on to mention fallen angels, who she claims were also enormous giants.
Additionally, she questions how everything wouldn't be completely destroyed if a meteor of such magnitude had hit the Earth, comparing it to thousands of nuclear bombs exploding.
In her view, there wouldn't be anything left, let alone dinosaur bones.
Why dinosaur bones aren’t everywhere if they really existed?
Although the video might have confused people, there are scientific reasons behind the rarity of dinosaur bones.
Dinosaur fossils have been found on all continents, but they are not evenly spread out.
To become fossilized, specific conditions are necessary, usually found near lakes, rivers, or flood-prone areas.
When dinosaurs died near water, their remains were often covered in mud or silt during floods, helping with preservation.
Moreover, heavy rain could have carried dinosaur remains into rivers, aiding in the fossilization process.
The fossil record is not a comprehensive representation of all dinosaur species that ever existed.
Fossils are more likely to form in specific environments, such as those conducive to sedimentary deposition.
Dinosaurs that lived in jungle or mountainous regions are less likely to have left behind fossils due to the unfavorable conditions for preservation.
