A streamer was banned permanently for taking a homeless woman to dinner and then leaving her to pay the restaurant bill alone.
A Kick streamer goes on a dinner outing with a homeless woman but leaves her with a $76 bill
The streamer, known as ‘Dumbdumbjeez,’ purportedly dined and dashed on a woman named Mabel, whom he claimed was homeless.
In a video shared by the streamer, he is seen dining with Mabel before abruptly leaving the restaurant upon seeing the $76 bill.
He mentioned needing his wallet from his car but then drove away, leaving Mabel behind, as reported by TMZ.
The streamer faces fierce backlash for his action
The video stirred a wave of condemnation on social media, with users expressing shock and disapproval at the streamer’s actions.
Many labeled the streamer as “pathetic” and criticized his behavior towards the homeless woman.
What a sick individual. Clearly has lost his heart somewhere along his journey of life, one user said.
That’s so messed up in so many levels. Whoever this streamer is, I hope they never gain respect from their fans ever again. That’s so cruel, the second user wrote.
What a horrible person to do something like this, the third user said.
That’s disgusting I’ve naver heard of such evil in my life how on earth do you do that to some one down on there luck he should be in jail, another wrote.
That’s not nice…wtf is wrong with people, someone said.
Streaming platform Kick immediately banned the man after the incident
Kick, the streaming platform where ‘Dumbdumbjeez’ operated, took swift action, banning the streamer following the incident.
Bijan Teharani, Kick’s co-founder, denounced the streamer’s actions as “pathetic” and confirmed his removal from the platform.
Teharani also shared intentions to award Mabel the $50,000 prize that the streamer had aimed to win through a contest.
He stated: “This pathetic and now banned streamer did this while trying to win a contest for $50k.
I’m disappointed this happened on Kick and we’ve got $50k for this lady if anyone can connect us.”
The streamer opened up about the incident amid criticism
Following the public backlash, ‘Dumbdumbjeez’ released an explanation video on his platform, asserting that Mabel was aware of the prank beforehand.
He claimed that he had briefed her about the scenario and had already provided her with money in advance.
“Now that I’m already disqualified, I’m banned ’cause n****s took it out of context and took it to the extent. I f***ing rigged that s**t bro.”
“Before streaming, I talked to the female. I talked to the lady, which is Mabel, cause as you could see when I sparked my stream I went right towards Mabel bro.
Like I seen her before I got dropped off before I sparked my stream,” he said.
He continued: “I literally had the conversation about her what gonna do you feel me? I gave her the money already beforehand to let her know what we were gonna do.
That’s why I said I was going to leave her and come back.”
The contest in question, initiated by Kick streamer Sam Pepper, involved livestreaming a date with a stranger.
However, ‘Dumbdumbjeez’ allegedly attempted to manipulate the situation by involving Mabel in his scheme.
The streamer defended his actions as a marketing ploy to attract viewers but acknowledged that it had backfired, resulting in his ban from the platform.
