Cybertruck deliveries on Hold
Tesla has reportedly halted deliveries of the Cybertruck due to a potentially serious problem with the accelerator pedal.
Some customers have received notifications that their deliveries have been delayed, with some pushed back past April 20th.
The issue appears to be related to the accelerator pedal cover.
A Tesla owner shared a video on TikTok showing how the cover could slip and jam the pedal in a fully depressed position.
The Cybertruck owner recounted a frightening incident in a viral video on social media.
Realizing that fully pressing the brake would override the pedal, he found that whenever he released the brake, the car would accelerate again.
So I stopped the car, put it in the park, and got out. At first, I thought the pedal was broken, but nope. I realized that this was wedged down here.'
Though the owner remained composed and promptly stopped the car, he warned, "For someone prone to panic, this situation could be extremely perilous.
Below the video, many viewers expressed their concern about Cybertruck while Elon Musk cut 14,000 jobs amid falling electric car sales.

Elon Musk is cutting 14,000 jobs due to a decline in electric car sales
Adding to the company's woes, Tesla has laid off approximately 1,400 employees, many from the Texas Gigafactory where the Cybertruck is produced.
According to a report, billionaire Elon Musk, who leads Tesla, the US car manufacturer, is reportedly cutting over 10% of its global workforce due to declining sales.
Additionally, Musk informed his staff that the reduction of more than a tenth of the workforce is a necessary step.
He stated: ‘We have done a thorough review of the organization and made the difficult decision to reduce our headcount by more than 10 percent globally.'
‘There is nothing I hate more, but it must be done. This will enable us to be lean, innovative, and hungry for the next growth phase cycle', He added.
However, according to analysts, The layoffs of over 14,000 jobs at this time are challenging for Tesla and Musk.
