On social media, viewers were stunned after a Tesla driver shared the 'ridiculously expensive' monthly insurance cost for their vehicle.

The Tesla Cybertruck is not only a luxury vehicle but also a design marvel that captivates dreamers worldwide.

However, owning a Tesla Cybertruck is no easy feat due to its high price. 

Drivers not only incur high costs for purchasing the Tesla Cybertruck but also face exorbitant expenses for its maintenance.

Starting at $60,990 for the base model, the Cybertruck is not a budget-friendly pickup. Owners of the Cybertruck not only face the initial purchase price but also contend with the high ongoing costs of insurance.

Recently, social media discussions have centered around the surprisingly high insurance costs associated with owning this vehicle, leaving viewers stunned.

On social media, a Cybertruck Tesla owner shared the cost of insurance for their vehicle, leaving viewers shocked. 

On the Reddit platform, users have been sharing the monthly insurance costs for their Cybertrucks, and some of the figures are staggering.

A user, @ntally_00 shared that they were initially quoted a six-month insurance cost of $5,900, which equates to nearly $1,000 per month. After shopping around, they managed to find a slightly more affordable rate of $488 per month. Still, this is significantly higher than the average insurance cost, which is typically under $200 per month.

The post quickly went viral and sparked discussion on social media.

One person said: Looks like $1200/6 mth or $188/mth were the costs floating around.

A second wrote: I did a rough quote with progressive with (from what I recall) pretty low deductibles/high coverage and they gave me $211/month or $1003/6 month. Driving for ~15 years, reside in Nevada, clean driving record. Waiting for my VIN to get a real final quote.

While a third commented: I pay 800 USD a year to insure a $67K 2023 LEXUS RX.

Someone else said: I got 127/month with Tesla.

Another added: $270 a month in AZ

Previously, Tesla owner, left viewers stunned after sharing his electric bill, revealing in incredible savings over six months.

On social media, a Tesla owner, named Bilal Sattar shared on X platform, revealing how much money he has saved on fuel in the last six months.

According to Sattar, he spent only $573 on charging his Tesla over 10,000 miles. In contrast, an equivalent gas car would have cost roughly $2,400 at $4 per gallon, resulting in savings of $1,800.

The post read: “6 months and roughly 10k miles I've spent only $573 to charge. An equivalent gas car at $4/gallon would have cost roughly $2400. I saved $1800".

In the post, Sattar also reveals his strategy for saving fuel with his Tesla car.

Sattar attributes his success to a combination of using free charging locations and generating electricity through solar panels.
