One user even claimed that they saw a "glowing figure" walking through the smoke during the chaos.

Officers Reveal What the Camera Really Picked Up
While the mysterious footage may have sparked a frenzy among conspiracy theorists, the Miami Police Department has shed some light on the mysterious figure in the video.
According to the officers, the strange creature was just a shadow of someone walking.
As the camera panned over the area, the shadow of a person walking behind the police cars was captured, giving the illusion of a 10-foot-tall alien floating above them.
'What is seen in this clip is the shadow of someone walking. If you look at the bottom of the shadow, you can see the person. No creature,' a spokesman said.

This is not the first time the sighting of aliens has caused chaos on social media.
