Doctor who studied 5K near-passed away and claimed: There's life that doesn't end when our hearts stop beating

A doctor asserts that life continues even after death.

A radiation oncologist from Kentucky, who has extensively studied over 5,000 near-death experiences, claimed that his research unquestionably confirms the existence of life after death.

Dr. Jeffrey Long, who founded the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation in 1998, developed a deep fascination with near-death experiences (NDE).

He defines NDEs as “someone who is either comatose or clinically dead, without a heartbeat, having a lucid experience where they see, hear, feel emotions, and interact with other beings.”

Dr. Long diligently collects stories from those who have reported NDEs and subjectively analyzes them using scientific methods.

Based on the substantial evidence he has amassed, Dr. Long firmly believes that an afterlife exists. He confidently states, “In the face of overwhelming evidence, I’ve come to believe there’s certainly an afterlife'.

Despite each NDE being different, Long has observed several consistent patterns.

Approximately 45% of patients recount an out-of-body experience, where their consciousness separates from their physical body and hovers above. This separation enables them to perceive and hear what occurs around them.

Long affirms that these accounts have been substantiated by witnesses. For instance, he mentions a woman who lost consciousness while riding a horse on a trail. Her consciousness reportedly traveled with the horse as it galloped back to the barn. Interestingly, she could later provide a detailed description of the events at the barn, even though her body wasn’t physically there.

Additionally, some people said that they are transported into another realm during their NDEs.

Many claim to have traversed through a tunnel, encountered a bright light, received greetings from deceased loved ones, and witnessed their life rapidly flashing before their eyes.

Interestingly, Long noted that even children younger than five reported similar sights during their near-death experiences. Despite the fact they probably wouldn't have been exposed to stereotypes of 'bright lights' or seeing their loved ones.

Despite extensive efforts, Long has been unable to discover scientific explanations for these experiences.

“I haven’t found any scientific explanation for these experiences,” Long confessed

Long concluded: "I'm a medical doctor. I've read brain research and considered every possible explanation for [near-death experiences]. The bottom line is that none of them hold water. There isn't even a remotely plausible physical explanation for this phenomenon."

Lastly, Long holds a strong belief that his patients will find peace when they pass away
