A fast-food worker used a gun at a customer who had complained about missing curly fries in their meal.

A Jack in the Box restaurant in Texas turned into a scene reminiscent of an action film when an enraged worker shoots at a customer during a dispute over missing curly fries.

According to a lawsuit filed by customer Anthony Ramos, the fast-food feud began around 11 p.m. when he visited a Jack in the Box near Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. His pregnant wife sat in the passenger seat, and his 6-year-old daughter was in the backseat.

An argument erupted between Ramos and Jack-in-the-Box employee Alonniea Fantasia Ford. CCTV footage from the restaurant captures the moment Ford and another fast-food worker tossed ice and condiments at Ramos' car.

However, the situation escalated significantly when Ford left the drive-thru window and returned with a cocked firearm. She was then seen extending her gun out of the window and firing at least two shots at Ramos' car.

In an effort to escape the gunfire, Ramos quickly drove away from the restaurant, thankfully avoiding any injuries.

Ford, the Jack-in-the-Box employee, later pleaded guilty to one count of deadly conduct and received a one-year deferred adjudication sentence, as reported by Chron. She completed this sentence in June of the current year.

The Houston Chronicle also reported that another individual was arrested on suspicion of taking Ford's weapon and attempting to conceal it from law enforcement officers.

In response to the incident, the Ramos family filed a lawsuit against Jack-in-the-Box, alleging that the fast-food chain failed to ensure customers' safety in the presence of dangerous employees. This legal action was initiated last year, with Jack-in-the-Box denying any responsibility for Ford's efforts. The company claimed it had no control over its staff's actions during a shift, asserting that it was not legally liable.

Nonetheless, the Ramos family's attorney, Randall Kallinen, unearthed damning video footage from the night of the shooting. The family is seeking $250,000 in damages as a result of the shocking incident and is also requesting compensation for their 'therapy and mental anguish'.
