Cultivation of The Sekai-chi Apple

The Sekai-ichi apple is a hybrid of two other apple varieties, the Red Delicious and the Golden Delicious.

It is a late-season apple, typically harvested in October and November. The trees require a specific climate and soil conditions to thrive, which is why they are mainly grown in Japan's Aomori prefecture.

The cultivation process for the Sekai-ichi apple is labor-intensive and requires strict attention to detail.

The trees must be pruned regularly to ensure proper air circulation and sunlight exposure.

Additionally, each apple is hand-pollinated to maintain the desired characteristics and quality.

The Sekai-ichi apple is renowned for its colossal size, vibrant red hue, and captivating star-shaped calyx.

Its flesh is firm and crisp, with a delightful balance of sweetness and tartness. The flavor profile is complex and multifaceted, with notes of honey, cinnamon, and vanilla.
