Bilal Ilyas Jhandir, a passionate fan from Pakistan, surpassed the previous record of 27 songs by correctly identifying 34 Taylor Swift songs.
Jhandir said he is a "huge fan" and has listened to Taylor Swift since he was a child. He claims to be able to recognize almost any of her songs based on the lyrics.
Jhandir spent 13 weeks to break this record, proving that he is a dedicated fan of the pop star.
Even though he could easily recognize Taylor Swift's songs, the young man still prepared everything carefully as he spent 13 weeks listening to music intensively and even humming the lyrics in his sleep.
The songs he had to identify were chosen from Taylor Swift's list of the top 50 best-selling songs and were read without any accompanying music.
The young man said that his participation in the contest was a form of expressing his love for Taylor Swift, whom he has always idolized since he was a child.
Jhandir said he loves Taylor Swift's lyrics because they are extremely meaningful and touch his heart. The songs are honest with emotional depth and easily connect with listeners.
Jhandir identifies 34 songs of Taylor Swift's within a minute
In some pictures, the guy wearing a blindfold sits next to two supervisors to avoid cheating. One of the judges will read the beginning of a randomly selected song lyric on their computer screen.
Jhandir must identify each song within 1 second and read them out loud until he can list the most songs within 1 minute.
With this win, Jhandir broke British radio host Dan Simpson's record of 27 songs.
This is not the first time Jhandir has won a Guinness World Record.
The young man held three other world records before taking home his fourth record for identifying the most Taylor Swift songs by their lyrics in just one minute.
Jhandir continued to make headlines when he broke the record for identifying the most Justin Bieber songs based on their lyrics in one minute in 2023.
In addition, the young man also holds the record for the largest sapling word.
Still, Jhandir claims "the Guinness World Record for identifying the most Taylor Swift songs based on lyrics in one minute" is his favorite record.
When asked about his feelings when bringing home another Guinness World Record related to his idol, Jhandir expressed that this was a great feeling.
He was very happy to have a "certificate" proving that he is a die-hard fan of Taylor Swift.
