A Japanese man resonated with the public after updating a video of him wearing a surreal collie costume in public. As his revelation, the costume was worth up to $14K.
Let's explore this man and the reason why he chose to become a dog.
A Japanese man spent a whopping $14K to buy a Collie dog costume.
The man whose name is Toko conducted his dream of being an animal by hiring Zeppet to create the costume.
Zeppet is a Japanese company that specializes in producing sculptures and training models for movies and commercials.
“My desire to be an animal is like a desire to transform…a desire to be something that I am not,” he emphasized.
Toko has desired to transform into a dog since he was a child.
"Ever since I was a small child, I wanted to be an animal. I think it is a desire to transform," Toco said.
"My favorite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog.
"I met such a condition and made collie, my favorite breed of dog."
Toko's difficulties when wanting to become a dog
Toko said he also encountered many difficulties with his strange hobby.
The man revealed that he only wears Collie dog clothes on special occasions or simply wears them at home.
He always has to hide his true identity from the public and hide this truth from his friends and colleagues because they will certainly be shocked when they learn about his hobbies.
"I don't want my hobbies to be known," he said,
"Especially by the people I work with."
"They think it's weird that I want to be a dog. For the same reason why I can't show my real face."
When asked about his family's reaction to his desire to transform into an animal, Toko said his family was surprised at first but they still supported his hobby.
"The family was surprised but received it favorably. I am very happy that they accepted it," Toco said.
His video of being a Collied dog has gone viral on social media, leaving many people amazed.
According to PetMD, in Toko's latest YouTube video, he was trying to make friends with a Shiba Inu, a hunting dog breed that is usually very friendly.
However, the dog seemed very confused and quickly realized something was strange. Despite his efforts to make friends with Shiba, the dog still left with a worry.
Toko's clip quickly went viral and attracted more than 20 million views on his personal YouTube, where he shared short videos about his days "living like a dog."
Toco said. “I love animals and like to act like a collie.”
He added: “This is my hobby so I will continue. That makes me happy and makes other people happy too."
