Saturday, 30/03/2024, 16:34 (GMT+7)

Unlike mothers who teach their children to be independent, an Australian mother has caused controversy for raising her daughter to be a traditional wife and dependent on men.

The decision of an Australian mother to raise her daughter as a "traditional wife" has sparked a heated debate.

Her daughter's parenting to serve and depend on a man has prompted discussions about feminism and personal choices.

Jasmine Dinis, who identifies herself as a "traditional wife," is bringing up her daughter with the conviction that finding fulfillment in serving her future husband and depending on him is more important than pursuing higher education or a personal career.

With a substantial following on TikTok and Instagram, Jasmine regularly offers glimpses into her life where she supports traditional motherhood and marriage.

She expresses her perspective on raising her daughter differently, emphasizing that in a society where success is often attached to academic achievements and career ambitions, she chooses to teach her little girl the value of living a simple and fulfilling life.

For Jasmine, being a biblical woman means desiring a loving husband and a beautiful family, and finding joy in serving them daily.

She believes that true happiness stems from a strong connection with God and the bonds within her family, rather than solely from pursuing a career.

Jasmine's parenting faces backlash on social media

While some people praised Jasmine for her choice and believed it to be beautiful and fulfilling, others criticized her parenting style.

Critics argued that her approach could be considered anti-feminist and questioned whether her daughter should be free to choose her own path and career goals.

Oy... Good luck, Girl. I hope you grow up and find your own value as it seems your gonna be raised not having any, one user said.

Yep, don't send your daughter to school. Best advice would be "My daughter, you're not going to school, and you're not going to have a career. Someday, a man will choose you, marry you, and impregnate you". Best mom ever. Hurray! The second mocked Jasmine's parenting.

As the mother of three girls, I’ve raised mine to respect the sanctity of marriage and that having a career is her choice. If she and her hubs can make it on one salary, great, if she wants a career, great. I had and still have a career and loved it. But, they do not DEPEND on a man, the third user shared their opinion.

Thank goodness I taught my daughter to be independent. She can stand on her own without a man. Now, she is completely self-sufficient and happy, another said.

Another housewife who loves being a traditional wife and serving her husband

Jasmine is not the only one who advocates traditional wifehood and serves the husband. Another similar case of a housewife named Mikayla also caused controversy.

Mikayla gave up her career after getting married at the age of 26 to focus all her time on taking care of her husband.

The housewife said she loves the feeling of serving her husband, including cooking, cleaning the house, taking care of the farm, growing vegetables, etc.

Despite the criticism, Mikayla said she wants to continue the family tradition as a housewife and feels satisfied serving her husband every day, while her husband will be the provider for her.
