A mother has expressed her horror at the sky-high prices at Disney World after spending a whopping $70 for a bowl of cereal for her daughter at Disney World's Cinderella's Royal Table.

A mother was stunned by sky-high prices after she was charged a staggering $70 for a simple bowl of cereal at a Cinderella breakfast

Autumn Scott, accompanied by her travel companion Kaitlin LeBeouf, shared her experience on TikTok, shedding light on the sky-high costs at the Cinderella's Royal Table resort restaurant in Orlando, Florida.

Autumn and her friend Kaitlin had paid the standard fee of $69 (excepting tax and gratuity) per person for the breakfast buffet menu.

However, Kaitlin's young daughter had a modest appetite and only wanted a bowl of cereal. This seemingly innocuous dish ended up costing them nearly $70, leaving them shocked and disappointed.

Captured in the TikTok video, Autumn films Kaitlin and her daughter at the breakfast table.

Autumn's voice can be heard calling out to Kaitlin, urging her to reveal what her child received for the hefty price they paid.

"Kaitlin, tell me what your kid got for $70," Autumn asked.

Reluctantly, Kaitlin's daughter holds up the bowl of cereal in front of the camera. They jokingly refer to it as "Cinderella cereal" and remark that everything is better at Disney.

Mother criticized for spending $70 on cereal meal for her daughter at Disney World's Cinderella

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 1.3 million views, with many social media users expressing their astonishment.

This is exactly why I'm waiting until my kids are at an age where they can legit appreciate the vacation, one person wrote.

Disney is now like all those roadside places of my childhood that my dad would call tourist traps. All they do is separate you from your money, the second said.

Absolutely ridiculous! Robbery, another commented.

If these parents would stop bringing their families to these overpriced parks, then maybe the prices would go down. Protest with your feet and your wallet, someone gave advice.

On the contrary, some people also criticized the mother for choosing an expensive $70 meal when she knew her daughter's eating habits were limited to a small bowl of cereal instead of a barbecue.

Very misleading. Not a Disney fan by any means but you paid 69 dollars per head and your daughter chose to have cereal. What are they supposed to do price every item you have and then refund the difference? That's not how a buffet works. If I pay for a buffet and overeat do I then pay them for the extras? Lol, one user said.

The cereal was not 70 bucks. She paid for an experience and a buffet. If you know your kid isn't going to eat the buffet- don't go there, the second replied.

The prices for all restaurants as WDW and DLR are posted online. Most children are not going to consume $70 worth of food at one meal, so mom has no reason to complain, someone wrote.

According to the official website of Cinderella's Royal Table, the breakfast pricing is $42 per child (aged three to nine) and $69 per adult, excluding tax and gratuity.

The menu offers an inclusive buffet with additional items such as Mickey-shaped waffles, egg white frittatas, and fruit and seed oatmeal mixes for children.
