Restaurant owner bans customers who are under 18 to keep a calm atmosphere for his customers

In Marrickville, Sydney, the owner of Kin Dining and Bar, Peter Wu, has implemented an evening ban on customers under 18 to ensure a peaceful dining experience. 

He wants to make sure there is a calm atmosphere for his customers and avoid the noise and chaos caused by children.

Wu thinks that noisy and misbehaving children can make other customers unhappy. 

He gives examples of kids screaming, being impatient, and playing loud gadgets, which can disturb everyone's experience. Therefore, he wants to prevent such disruptions from happening.

Wu acknowledges that not everyone may agree with his policy and suggests that those who are unhappy with it can explore other family-friendly dining options in the area.

The restaurant, Kin Dining and Bar, offers a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine and aims to cater to a specific clientele seeking a refined dining experience. 

Wu believes in the importance of individual choice and acknowledges that living in a free country allows people to make decisions that align with their preferences.

The banning under-18s sparks debate on social media

Some people agree with Wu and think he is right to want a calm dining atmosphere. 

They appreciate his honesty and understand the importance of a peaceful environment. However, others argued that this ban was unfair to customers under the age of 18.
