The fuselage of the Boeing 737 passenger plane appeared intact, indicating a low-speed impact with the sea. Photos and videos circulating online depict the partially submerged aircraft in shallow waters following the crash landing.

The expert Peter Forman told Hawaii News Now, saying: “The pilot probably didn’t put the plane down exactly where he wanted to on the runway."

“It’s probably a combination of all those factors put together, ” Forman said.

While the cause of the crash has not been officially confirmed, it is speculated that foggy and windy weather conditions may have played a role.

Peter Forman suggested that the pilot might not have executed the landing precisely on the runway, and the shorter length of the Kaneohe runway could have contributed to the incident.
