In a horrifying incident at Majorca airport.
A 21-year-old woman, an airline worker, was left fighting for her life after drinking coffee filled with insects.
The incident occurred at Son Sant Joan airport near Mallorca, Palma on April 22.
The woman bought the drink from a vending machine in the airport to quench her thirst.
As she began drinking the coffee, she noticed it tasted odd. Upon closer inspection, she discovered a swarm of insects crawling inside the cup.
Shortly after consuming the insect-infested coffee, the woman started having an anaphylactic shock.
Her face began to swell up, and her throat started to close, leaving her struggling to breathe. She was quickly rushed to the hospital where she spent 36 hours in the ICU before being released.
After the incident, the woman's family takes legal action against the airport.
According to local publication Ultima Hora, the family of the 21-year-old has filed a complaint against the airport with the National Police.
They argue that this infestation case should be treated as a crime against public health, which had severe consequences and resulted in reckless injuries.
They also accused the airport staff of failing to ensure the machine was safe for use and not maintaining hygiene standards for customers.
Woman 'left with no choice' but to buy every packet of peanuts on plane after crew 'ignored her allergy'
Leah Williams, 27 years old, asked if measures could be taken to prevent passengers from having the snack because she has a severe lifelong allergy.

Before the plane took off, she informed the staff aboard Eurowings to announce her severe nut allergy and urged other passengers not to buy or eat peanuts.
However, the crew dismissed her concerns, even forcing her to purchase all 48 packets of nuts available on board for £3 each and have them bagged up.
This left her with no option but to buy all 48 packets at $4 each. The purchase cost Leah nearly £150, which is three times the $62 fare for the Dusseldorf to London route
Leah said: “The stewards looked at me blankly like I was crazy and said, ‘But there is a lot, we’ll have to count them all.’ I said, ‘Please do count them and I will pay for them all, seeing as you have left me with no choice."
She added: “Eurowings should be ashamed of how they handled this situation and for the way they made me feel.”
After the incident, a spokesperson for Eurowings stated: 'We are very sorry that the flight with us did not go as smoothly as planned and we regret any inconvenience this has caused Leah Williams.
