In a recent video, the younger husband shared a worrying update about his first baby with his 63-year-old wife.

In 2024, 63-year-old grandmother Cheryl McCain and her 26-year-old husband Quran were excited to share that they were expecting their first child together.

Earlier this year, the couple announced they had found a surrogate and were starting a family, drawing a mixed reaction online.

Cheryl, who already has 18 grandchildren, said it was an 'amazing feeling' to find out they were going to have a baby.

"We get to start our own family. I am happier now than I have ever been before," she expressed. Quran added that he cried tears of joy when he found out, saying "This will be my very first child. I have never felt love like this apart from the time I got married to Cheryl."

However, the couple has since faced difficulties in their surrogacy journey.

In a recent video, a visibly distressed Quran broke down in tears as he told followers he had been "going through hell" for the past two weeks.

"I don't know how to feel, for the last two weeks I've been going through hell. Like, literal hell. All I want is a f***ing family and a healthy baby," he said.

Quran explained that on Father's Day, he woke up to a text at 6 am from the surrogate saying she no longer wanted to go through with it.

"I'm stressed, I'm tired. Life has been whopping my a**. I've been there for this surrogate for the whole nine yards and I'm battling things that I can't even battle myself alone," he tearfully shared.

The surrogate's mother has also gotten involved, claiming the couple is doing this all for 'likes and views'.

In a follow-up video, Cheryl and Quran stated the surrogate has since contacted them saying she is keeping the baby.

As a result, they said they'd have to delay their planned gender reveal, but are still determined to continue their surrogacy journey.

"It's in God's hands, if he wants to deliver us a healthy baby then it'll come healthy," Quran said.

The laws around surrogacy in the US are complex, with no federal laws in place. Each state has different allowances and processes for surrogacy arrangements.

Despite the setbacks, the couple remain hopeful they will eventually become parents.

In a video, Cheryl expressed, "I am the happiest now than I have ever been before. It will make our family so much happier as we will love the baby unconditionally."

Previously, Cheryl McGregor shared an emotional update on the preparations she and Quran are making to welcome their first child via surrogacy.

In a recent video, Cheryl and Quran shared an ultrasound image of their baby, along with details about the fetal development.

They said they had gotten past the major risk hurdles and were soon to find out the gender, which they are very excited about. Cheryl expressed joy at seeing the ultrasound, calling the baby 'so cute.'

The couple overcame some initial mixed reactions from Cheryl's family, but now her children are supportive of their parenting journey.
