Dylan Barnett discovers more and more women are being abused
Dylan Barnett, a single tradie from Brisbane, was deeply disturbed to learn about the traumatic experiences many women have encountered while dating.
When he started dating again, he was shocked to discover that nearly every other woman he met had suffered some kind of abuse.
Dylan Barnett was profoundly taken aback by the abhorrent behavior displayed by several men, which urged him to take action and create a poignant video to raise awareness and advocate for change.
Dylan used his TikTok account to emphasize the importance of understanding right from wrong and respecting boundaries, urging men to reflect on their actions and actively contribute to a safer and more respectful dating environment.
'I had no f***ing idea that this was going on. This is a failure of most men in the dating world,' Barnett said in a viral TikTok video.
"My message [to men] still remains the same - understand what is right and wrong, and respect boundaries," he emphasized.
According to Dylan, the current dating landscape for singles is riddled with elements such as distrust, fear of connection, and a sense of emotional pain.
He highlights that many women have reached a point where they feel concerned about going on dates, especially at night.
Dylan also claimed that he has come across distressing stories of first dates that were anything but pleasant.
He observes that women have built strong emotional barriers out of self-protection, surpassing what one might expect.
Understandably, women question the intentions of potential partners due to the spread of abuse cases.
"These days a cute movie date is not on the cards anymore. It is an assumption that there is only one thing you want," he said.
Dylan continued: 'You know what shocked me being back in the dating world? Every second woman I've met has been physically abused before. Every second woman I've met has been sexually abused before.
"And every second woman I've met has been on a date where they were expected to do a sexual act and it has resulted in aggression towards them.
"I had no f***ing idea that this was going on. This is a failure of most men in the dating world," Dyland concluded.
Dylan expressed his deep dismay and revulsion towards the abhorrent actions of some men.
As a fellow male, he feels compelled to speak out against such behavior, emphasizing that his stance is not an attempt to appease or flatter women, but rather a genuine reflection of his values as a human being and a responsible man.
Dylan firmly disapproves of and condemns any form of such repugnant conduct, considering it utterly disgraceful.
"I'm not saying this to suck up to women. I'm saying this as a human being and a real man, I don't condone any of that f***ing behavior whatsoever. I think it's absolutely disgusting," Dylan insisted.
Since its release, the emotional video has garnered significant attention, amassing over 439,000 views and generating numerous comments.
While Dylan received an outpouring of support, he also faced a barrage of messages from men who disagreed with his perspective.

Despite feeling vulnerable, even when out in public on a Saturday night, Dylan remained resolute in his beliefs and the importance of his message, though he did admit to briefly considering deleting the video altogether.
