An incident in Venice, where a gondola capsized in the water, serves as proof. The accident occurred when a group of tourists ignored warnings against taking selfies, which led to the Venice gondola capsizing the boat in the water.

Venice is one of the most popular tourist destinations, where thousands of tourists visit every year. However, a video that went viral on social media captured a terrible accident that occurred.

There were numerous questions asked about the safety of the location and the habits of a group of tourists while on a trip.

The video was captured by user @ienaridens69 and posted on the TikTok platform. The footage showed a gondola passing under a bridge near St. Mark’s Square when it flipped over.

The reason is reported to be a group of tourists who refused to stop taking selfies and ignored warnings about standing on the boat.

They were reported to have ignored the gondolier's requests to remain seated.

In the footage, a group of tourists is seen clinging to the side of the boat in the icy water. One can be heard shouting, 'Oh my god.' He tried to pull the side of the boat.

According to reports, there were no injuries after the accident. The entire group of tourists was brought to safety. As reported by The Guardian, they were provided “hospitality and warmth” inside the La Fenice theatre.

In the viral video, many people criticized a group of tourists for disregarding the captain's request, while others questioned whether they should continue visiting Venice due to the risks.
