A man in Belgium faked his death to teach his family the significance of maintaining communication. He staged his own demise and made a startling entrance at his own funeral by arriving in a helicopter.
According to the Daily Mail, David Baerten, a 45-year-old TikTok creator, confided in his wife and children about a well-thought-out scheme. They then supported the plan through social media platforms.

They write on social media: 'Rest in peace, Daddy. I will never stop thinking about you.
“Why is life so unfair? Why you? You were going to be a grandfather, and you still had your whole life ahead of you. I love you! We love you! We will never forget you.”

A staged funeral took place near Liege last week, where mourners had gathered. In a grand and theatrical manner, Baerten, also known as Ragnar le Fou online, made a grand entrance with a film crew by helicopter.
At his funeral, as everyone was mourning and saying goodbye, Berten suddenly emerged from a helicopter. A TikTok user who was there shared a video of a helicopter landing in a field. Berten came out, and his relatives hugged him.
The 'pitiful' prank gained 162,000 followers, and some quarters have expressed serious backlash towards the TikToker.

They called it a "cruel joke" and said it was "pathetic". But Berten said that despite the backlash, it's a testament to who really cares about him.
According to The Times, Baerten explains his actions to see how his wider family would react after he died. He supposed they had become distant and out of touch with him.
He asked: 'What I see in my family often hurts me. I never get invited to anything. Nobody sees me. We all grew apart. I felt unappreciated.

'That's why I wanted to give them a life lesson and show them that you shouldn't wait until someone is dead to meet up with them.'
Many attendees criticized his cruelty. Others accused the man of cheating without considering the possible consequences.

Many people are outraged that they have been lied to. Berten was met with outrage from many.
However, As Baerten emerged from the helicopter, numerous individuals hurried to greet and embrace him. After Berten revealed he was alive, Berten's friend Thomas Ford posted a video of the two embracing. "I swear I cried and was shocked. We love you so much," Ford said.
