Roman Sharf, founder and CEO of luxury watch dealer Luxury Bazaar, is the winner of the Sneaker Con auction event in Philadelphia.
Roman Sharf is of Soviet descent and resides in Philadelphia. He is famous for being one of the largest black-market watch dealers in the world.
Sharf's business has 30 employees and generates up to $130 million in annual revenue.
Donald Trump's unique golden shoes
The signature sneakers, called "Never Surrender high-tops," were introduced by Trump himself in his new shoe collection.
The sneakers were limited to only about 1,000 pairs and quickly sold out within two hours of launch.

CEO Sharf said he plans to give these unique shoes to his children in the future, but for now, he will display them in a glass cabinet located in his office.
Besides the unique high-top gold shoes, Donald Trump also launched white low-top shoes such as "T-Red" or "POTUS" with a gold number '45' design on the side.
These shoes sell for $305.
The launch of Trump's sneaker line comes amid legal challenges for the former president.
A New York judge recently ordered him to pay $544.5 million for allegedly inflating his net worth to deceive banks and insurers.
However, in a reversal of fortune, the judge reinstated Trump's "business certificates" and appointed a third-party monitor to oversee his assets.
Despite the controversy surrounding Trump, his sneakers have garnered attention and appeal among certain individuals, including Roman Sharf, who was willing to pay a substantial amount to own a pair of autographed golden sneakers.
