Apple iPhone users are getting freaked out by the 'red circle' on their 'Dynamic Island'

Some Apple fans are only just realizing what the red circle on the top of their iPhone means.

on Apple's premium iPhone Pro line-up, where we witnessed the classic notch being replaced with an interactive 'Dynamic Island' for the 'pro' phones - also known as the phones with three cameras on the back instead of two.

The tech giants say they designed the 'Dynamic Island' so it can change in size and shape depending on what's being displayed.

So if you're recording a voice note, playing a song, or receiving a phone call, the pill-shaped cutout with expand into the screen with a larger interactive display.

One person said: My phone does this when I screen record, after I bring the menu down and press stop, that light is still there. You can hold down that red light and a option for “stop screen record comes up” press it and the light goes away

A second wrote: The same thing happened to me today. I was NOT screen recording. It randomly turned on when I was using Instagram.
