Saturday, 23/03/2024, 16:49 (GMT+7)

Emily, a primary school teacher from Telford, Shropshire, was left horrified after receiving a rude message with her McDonald's delivery. On a Saturday night in March, she ordered two Coca-Cola through the Just Eat app.

Emily was taken aback after spotting a remark scrawled on her delivery note by McDonald's staff.

Upon receiving the drinks, Emily discovered a message scrawled on the delivery note: "Enjoy your food. Lazy s**t" with two smiley faces. Though partially crossed out, the insult remained clear.

Emily shared her experience on social media, tagging McDonald's. She wrote: 'Not sure how acceptable this is???'

Below the post, several users flooded the comments criticizing McDonald's.

One person said: I agree with the message! Who on earth orders two colas from an app! Surely the delivery and handling fees are more than the items!

A second wrote: surprised a worker at these kinds of food shops can spell.

While a third commented: Boycott that branch of the fast food outlet!

Someone else said: Two words of advice for the school teacher "toughen up", it's hardly the crime of the century.

The fast-food chain responded swiftly, apologizing for the unacceptable behavior and assuring her that appropriate action was taken against the staff involved.

Despite McDonald's apology, Emily expresses frustration about this incident.

She wrote: 'I was disgusted really. I initially found it funny but when I thought more about it, there's not a funny side.  she stated. 'It was very condescending. It doesn't make sense at all.

McDonald's then offered Emily a free meal as compensation.

However, after the incident, she has no desire to return to that specific store. "The problem is, it's for a free meal there. No, thank you," she said. "It has massively put me off going back."

Emily's parents were also angered by the incident. They wanted to speak to the franchise owner, but Emily opted to let it go.

A spokesperson for McDonald's issued an apology after the incident.
