Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram returned to normal after experiencing an outage -What was the cause?

The social media platforms, including Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram, encountered system-wide issues that left many people concerned.

From around 10:00 PM on March 5th, the aforementioned apps displayed error messages. While using Facebook, account holders suddenly received a "Something went wrong" or "expired version" notification, leading to automatic logouts with no ability to log back in.

Similar situations occurred with Messenger and Instagram.

Many users were left perplexed, unsure of what was happening.

Upon attempting to log back in after being logged out, users received incorrect password notifications. Consequently, users became worried and couldn't comprehend the issues Facebook was facing.

On Twitter, the account named Mark Zuckerberg (Parody) left viewers laughing out loud after he tweeted, 'Chill, guys. Wait a few minutes, everything will be solved.

It is worth noting that the majority of Facebook accounts experienced similar situations. On online forums, many individuals speculated about the underlying reasons for this widespread incident, although the official cause has not been disclosed.

On the Zalo platform, there were rumors circulating about Facebook being "completely down."

A Meta representative stated that the cause of the mentioned phenomenon had not been determined yet, despite numerous reports from users worldwide.

The Meta representative mentioned ongoing investigations and promised to provide updates once the investigation yields results.

As of over 11:00 PM on March 5th, the issues had not been resolved, and users were still unable to log into Facebook, Messenger, or Instagram. As of the last update at 11:30 PM on March 5th, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram have all resumed normal operations.
