On social media, a nurse posted a video on TikTok revealing what most people say before they die, leaving viewers shocked

Julie, a nurse from Los Angeles, California, has been working in a hospice for around five years.

Before becoming a hospice nurse, Julie was an ICU nurse for nine years. In total, she has been doing this type of work for 14 years.

She aims to educate others about hospices and answer burning questions everyone wants to know.

Hospice nurse shares insights on death and dying

On social media, she left viewers stunned after sharing her expertise with followers about death.

In a viral video, viewers expressed their shock after Julie's revelations about what most people say before they die.

In the comment section, many are desperate to know what to expect when they pass away.

She said, “I love educating patients and families about what to expect with hospices and what to expect with the specific disease they are dying from. 

“I also really like giving the patient and family some comfort knowing we will be there to manage their symptoms.

In the viral video, Julie reveals the normal things that happen to most people at the end of life.

These might look abnormal, but are normal. Changes in breathing, changes in skin color, terminal secretions, and fevers are all normal stages.

She said: “The best part about my job is educating patients and families about death and dying as well as supporting them emotionally and physically.

In the footage, Julie explained that at the end of life, if someone is dying naturally in hospice care, most people show the same signs and symptoms. 

This is called the actively dying phase.

 The symptoms include changes in consciousness (unconscious), changes in breathing, mottling, and terminal secretions. These are normal and not painful or uncomfortable.

There are some common assumptions that people make about hospices, but Julie explained that they’re not true. It’s not true that everyone in hospices dies right away and it’s also not true that morphine makes people die faster.

Julie added: “There are some assumptions that people make. Another one that’s completely not true is that hospices kill people.”

Additionally, Julie also  left viewers stunned after revealing what most people say before they die

Before they die, most people tend to say something, usually 'I love you,' or call out to their deceased parents..

She added: "It’s usually ‘I love you’ or they call out to their mom or dad — who have usually already died.”

The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking discussions among viewers surrounding the topic of death.

In the comment section, many viewers expressed their shock about Julie's sharing, while someone admitted that they lack interesting information about death.

One person said:  Something I noticed with my mom was a rotting smell that started to come from her while she was actively dying.

A second wrote:  I think she's saying these things happen naturally & can't be treated hence nothing wrong. It's the natural dying process. She's easing our minds
