In a TikTok video, a customer at Five Guys complained about the extremely high prices of items at the fast-food chain.
Michelle expressed her frustration after being charged $42 for two burgers, two shakes, and a portion of fries during a Saturday afternoon lunch at a Five Guys location.
In her video, Michelle recounted her order, which included a regular cheeseburger for herself, a cheeseburger with mushrooms for her husband, and a side of fries. The couple also ordered two milkshakes. Michelle criticized the business for the extremely high prices of the items.
She said that businesses are 'playing with their customers'.
In the video, Michelle stated that she and her husband went to Five Guys. The couple ordered a cheeseburger for her and a regular cheeseburger for him with mushrooms added.
She said: 'So two cheeseburgers, one order of fries, and two shakes. And the bill came up to 42 bucks."
While she emphasized her willingness to pay for quality food, Michelle warned that businesses might face consequences if they upset their customers.
She declared: 'Let me tell you something. These businesses are going to f*** around and y'all gonna find out what it means to piss off your customers.'
She added. "You know what? We're done. We're absolutely done. We're going to start cooking at home. We're going to start just brown bagging lunch every day".
According to the current menu at Five Guys, regular-sized cheeseburgers are listed at $12.09 each, regular fries at $6.89, and milkshakes at $5.89 each. T The burger chain is known for not charging extra for toppings and providing generous portions of fries with each order.
Below the video, numerous people also complained about the rising prices at fast-food chains, while others left comments discussing the quality of the food and drinks at Five Guys.
One person said: I took my child there for lunch recently. Was appalled by the total bill. We will not be returning.
A second wrote: I took my kids as well and spent $86 for our meals. It was decent food but I won't be back. At the end of the day, it's a fast-food burger joint. I can go to a fancy restaurant and get better food for that price.
While a third commented: $42 is not that much more than Mcdonald's would charge more for a similar crappy meal
Another added: They have the worst hamburgers. They're as bad as Micky D's. All of their food is nasty. If you want a really good hamburger go to Wood Ranch, it may be expensive but they are so good.
Five Guys isn't the only fast-food chain whose prices have customers complaining. In a recent viral TikTok video, a McDonald's customer expressed dissatisfaction after being charged $16 for a burger, fries, and soda.
