If you find your phone's battery draining faster than usual, there's a simple setting that might make a significant difference, as suggested by TikTok user 'T-Sply.' This user claims to have an easy method to "maximize battery life."
The hack iPhone originated from TikTok user @T_Sply, who provides an easy trick to achieve an 'unlimited cell phone battery' by selectively dimming your screen.
First of all, you need to go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
Then, proceed to accessibility, followed by display and text size. There, you need to adjust the slider for 'Reduce White Point' to a higher level based on your desired battery-saving level.
Reducing the white point essentially darkens the screen when you lower the device's brightness, contributing to saving your battery. You can also do this by swiping down from the top of your screen to open the Control Center. From there, locate the "sun" icon and move the slider down.
According to medical experts, melatonin levels typically start rising around 9 p.m., through the night, and peak in the early morning hours.
Therefore, bright lights, especially from phone screens during evening social media use, can disrupt your sleep process.
Although this hack may pose challenges for users in bright outdoor settings, for most iPhone users, reducing white points not only improves battery life but also diminishes eye strain and helps limit screen time before bedtime.
However, numerous people are surprised about this, and others remain skeptical of the suggested hack.
One person: And then people can't see their phone to bring the screen back to normal.
A second wrote: This adjusts the colors of your screen, not the brightness. Therefore, it has no impact on battery life.
A third commented: That's a good idea; I did it to maximize battery life.
Someone else said, Well, I mean, now I know how to use my phone at night if it’s still too bright for my eyes.
Another added: So good; however, I’m not taking advice from anyone with that many unread emails.
