This place is not only famous for conspiracy theories about hiding the bodies of aliens who crashed on Earth but also for the appearance of rather strange aircraft.

Area 51, located within the Nevada Test and Training Range, is the commonly used name for a highly classified United States Air Force military installation.

The official name of the area is Homey Airport.

Area 51 is situated in the southern part of Nevada, in the western United States, 134 km northwest of Las Vegas, on the southern shore of Groom Lake.

The area, spanning hundreds of kilometers, has been used by the United States Air Force since 1955, primarily for test flights of the Lockheed U-2 aircraft and several subsequent projects.

It is considered one of the most mysterious places in the world due to speculation that Area 51 is where an alien spaceship crashed in Roswell in 1947.

Although the US government has always been secretive about the activities inside Area 51, numerous topics about this area have been thoroughly exploited by the media, making it mysterious and attracting global attention.

Many unverified documents claim that Area 51 is where the bodies of aliens who crashed on Earth are kept.

For decades, the US government has always denied the existence of this high-level military area.

Area 51 is always under strict security, with iron fences surrounding it. Occasionally, local residents spot black aircraft with strange shapes..."

On social media, the conspiracy theories of Area 51 have become a topic of discussion among users.

Theorists have turned to online platforms like Reddit to share their theories and discoveries.

However, in an unexpected situation, a Redditor gained attention with an astonishing find on Google Maps.

Recently, a post on r/interestingasf**k gained attention when a Reddit user claimed to have found evidence of a 'nuke town' near Area 51 using Google Maps.

The post has the caption: "I think I found a “nuke town” near Area 51"

In the comment selection, some sarcastic responses referred to 'giant radioactive ants' and'sarlacc pits,' and several users quickly identified the area as a well-known nuclear test site in Nevada.

Another user confirmed the location as Yucca Flat, also known as the Nevada Test Site.

On person said: On Google Earth Pro (free desktop app) you can find out what bomb caused each crater. this is the largest crater I could find, measuring 0.23 miles across. it was from the US nuke Hermosa and was detonated on APR 2 1985 at 20:00:00.09 GMT. it was a 150 kiloton nuke.

A second wrote: Now I wonder how big a crater some huge nukes in the megatons range would leave if they tested them

While a third commented: They stopped doing atmospheric tests in the 60s, underground tests stopped in the 90s

Another added: I randomly stumbled across this place on my map app while looking at Area 51. Apparently it’s called the Yucca Flat and was the site of 739 tests.

Someone else said: I did some work out in this place, or a place nearby. Inspecting a water tank (firewater) in the middle of nowhere. I think it was area 14? So bizarre, the checkpoint had guards but they didn’t have uniforms. Desert storm without anything else. It was low security. The guys there were like, “it looks like we’re in bfe but there are cameras out here.” Maybe just BS but also kind of cool. They have signs about the explosion when you drive through each crater. I never understood that there were areas (not just 51) until then.

The grim history of 'Doom Town'

The Nevada Test Site is also home to the ominously named 'Doom Town.'

This fake settlement was created by the US Military in the 1950s to simulate how a nuclear attack would devastate a typical American community during a time when the threat of nuclear war was a real possibility. The eerie remnants of this project serve as a stark reminder of the potential destruction of nuclear warfare.
