In a viral video on Tiktok, a single man sparks a discuss after asking his partner to split the bill on a first Tinder date by insisting on splitting the bill with his Tinder date.

In a video that went viral on social media, numerous people were stunned after a man shared his encounter with his Tinder date.

In a TikTok video, the man recounted how he invited the woman to dinner for their first date.

The incident happened when a man from Miami, Florida, who goes by @thewaterboy, sparked debate after sharing a video on Tktok.

In the video, which gained 6.7 million viewers, the man asked the woman out to dinner for a first date, generating widespread discussion and passionate opinions. 

Contrary to the romantic atmosphere of couples dating for the first time, the atmosphere quickly turned tense when he requested that she contribute to the bill.

However, she wasn't pleased when she disdainfully dropped her credit card and questioned the rationale behind splitting the bill.

The woman was unhappy when asked to pay for half of the meal on their first Tinder date.

According to the man, After being asked to split the bill on a first Tinder date, the woman wasn't pleased and threw down her credit card and asked: 'Why are we splitting the bill?' 

However, instead of paying the bill for the first date, He replied: 'Well, I mean, it's our first date so I thought we should maybe go half.'

Then, the woman still insisted on asking the man to pay the bill, and the man replied, 'I mean, you ordered an appetiser that I didn't even touch... why do you think that I should?'

The video included later footage of the pair arguing bitterly in the car.

Although the woman expressed her support when the man asked her out, he still insisted on splitting the bill on their first Tinder date. 

The man then drove his date home and said:  'Alright, see ya... Hello. See you.'

In the footage,  the man pointed out that she had ordered an appetizer he hadn't even touched, making him question the fairness of solely assuming the financial responsibility.

The woman, with the sound of her seatbelt being unbuckled, proceeded to exit the car while uttering a sarcastic 'bye' before forcefully shutting the door.

The TikTok video has gained millions of views and sparked intense debate in the comments section on social media.

One person said: If you plan to split the bill, say that before picking her up.

A second wrote: Common bruh, at least pay for the first date... especially if you asked, are courting her and looking to date her.

A third commented: If I had to split the bill, I would have just said, “I’m not looking for friends; take care though.” And yes, never respond to him again; he obviously wants to be just friends

Someone else said: If the man asks me to split on the first date, I’m not arguing; that just will be the last. Chivalry is dead at that point
