TikTok users couldn't figure out who the mysterious couple was, despite spending millions on renting the Palace of Versailles, sending American guests to Paris, and hosting a rehearsal dinner in the Opera House.
And, of course, where all this money originated.
As it came out, it was Madelaine Brockway, 26, and her longtime boyfriend, Jacob LaGrone, getting married.
She is the daughter of Bob Brockway and was born in Miami, Florida, but she is now essentially an internet celebrity.
He's the chairman and CEO of Ussery Automotive Group, a car company that manages several Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Florida.
Only two locations were sold by the company back in August, reportedly for a whopping $150 million (£118.9 million) profit.
Additionally, Paula, her mother, is the vice president of a Mercedes-Benz branch.
A lavish wedding was held at the exclusive Amangiri resort in Utah, featuring a Marie Antoinette-themed party, and the couple reportedly stayed at the Palace of Versailles during their wedding week.
The woman was dressed luxuriously throughout the trip, and a generous amount of champagne was being served.
The couple spent a significant amount on their wedding, including private jet flights, renting the Palace of Versailles, hosting a Maroon 5 concert, and showcasing extensive flower displays.
Maroon 5 not only sung the first dance but also performed a private concert for the couple and their guests on their big day.
The list of gifts for a Paris trip includes 100 completed items, a $5,400 vase, an antique silver tea and coffee set, a bobcat ornament, and a gravy boat.
The cheaper end includes a $24 wine glass and a $28 napkin. If you're flown out to Paris, you might be willing to contribute $125 for a dinner plate in return. The list is currently in progress.
American couple also reportedly requesting various vases, animal figurines, and a unique candy cane teapot at a price of $530/£420.
The viewers were incensed at the extravagant spending as well as amazed by the American couple's extravagant choice of attire for the "wedding of the century."
